More Information
We need future pastors in the church. But we also need theologically minded men to be leaders in our congregations. Camp Trinity Academy will exist to help local pastors and congregations mentor young men who are either interested in attending seminary some day or are simply interested in learning some theology. Enrollment is open for boys, ages 13 (or going into Eighth Grade) to 18 (or just graduated High School) who are members of confessional Lutheran congregations and have completed at least one year of Confirmation/Catechism instruction. Campers will be introduced to theological study through three courses every morning, with fun activities in the afternoons. These courses will cover topics in history, doctrine, and biblical studies. There will also be a portion of library time every day where campers will have opportunities to explore their interests in a deeper way. The afternoon activities will include pool time, hiking, fishing, campfires, softball, and other activities. As much as campers will receive a taste of solid theological study, we also hope they will grow to form friendships and a true brotherhood with their fellow campers as they study together, worship together, and play together. Work when you work. Worship when you worship. And play when you play. For those interested, please send an email to Pastor Andrew Preus with the subject line “Camp Trinity Academy” at ajpreus@gmail.com, and he will send you a registration packet with more information.
